BERNSTEIN MANAGEMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND PRESIDENT OF BERNSTEIN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC), a regional leader in real estate management and investment, has welcomed Edward Chaglassian as Executive Vice President of BMC and President of Bernstein Development Corporation. In these roles, Chaglassian will guide the operational strategy and performance of the company’s portfolio of 5,500+ units and over 3.3 million square feet of commercial space.

Prior to joining BMC, Mr. Chaglassian enjoyed nearly 20 years with The JBG Companies and its successor firm, JBG SMITH, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Investments and Head of Acquisitions, as well as Investment Committee member for 15 years. In his role with JBG SMITH, Mr. Chaglassian recently helped lead the successful pursuit of Amazon's HQ2 in National Landing as well as negotiation with Virginia Tech for their new Innovation Campus in Alexandria, VA.

Mr. Chaglassian has served on the Investment Committee of the Impact Pool for the Washington Housing Initiative, which provides capital for the acquisition and development of affordable housing in high impact locations throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as Guest Lecturer.
