Edward Chaglassian is Chief Executive Officer and President of Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC) and its investment affiliate Bernstein Development Corporation (BDC) and additionally serves on the Advisory Board of BDC Properties, LLC. Mr. Chaglassian provides strategic leadership across the firm’s fully integrated platform and oversees the performance and growth of a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial real estate assets throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Since assuming the firm’s leadership, Mr. Chaglassian has focused on advancing and diversifying the firm’s long-term investment strategy, strengthening operational performance and positioning the organization for sustained growth and innovation. Prior to becoming CEO and President, Mr. Chaglassian served as President of BDC and Executive Vice President of BMC, where he led the firm’s investment and portfolio management functions. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly two decades with The JBG Companies and its successor, JBG SMITH (NYSE: JBGS), where he held a series of senior leadership roles including Executive Vice President of Investments, Head of Acquisitions, and member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Chaglassian also contributes to the broader community and industry through his service on the Investment Committee of Jubilee Housing and the Board of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) as well as being a member of the Federal City Council. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as a Guest Lecturer.

He oversees the firm’s legal department and provides strategic oversight of business operations and investment management. He has negotiated over $3 billion of acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing, joint venture and corporate transactions and is active in development projects. Mr. Hathway is a shareholder and director of Bernstein Management Corporation, co-founder of BMC’s primary investment affiliate BDC Properties LLC (BDCP) and serves as an Advisory Board Member for both BMC and BDCP. Prior to joining BMC in 2000, Mr. Hathway was a real estate partner at Lerch, Early & Brewer, and before that, he practiced real estate law at Venable, Baetjer & Howard. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Collins Foundation and has coached youth soccer and basketball for over 16 years. Mr. Hathway earned a B.A in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1983, and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 1988, cum laude, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. He also studied at the University of Chicago Cobb School of Business.

Prior to joining BMC in 2026, Mr. Herman was Deputy General Counsel at JBG SMITH Properties (NYSE: JBGS), where he led legal efforts with respect to public company operations, corporate governance and real property transactions. Mr. Herman earned a J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in American Studies, summa cum laude, from Fordham University.

A Certified Public Accountant, Bo earned his Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics and a Certificate in Pre-Professional Accounting Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he was also a Division I baseball player.
