Edward Chaglassian is Executive Vice President of Bernstein Management Corporation and President of its investment affiliate Bernstein Development Corporation. In these roles, Mr. Chaglassian guides the operational strategy and performance of the company’s portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Prior to joining BMC, Mr. Chaglassian enjoyed nearly 20 years with The JBG Companies and its successor firm, JBG SMITH, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Investments and Head of Acquisitions, as well as Investment Committee member for 15 years. Mr. Chaglassian has served on the Investment Committee of the Impact Pool for the Washington Housing Initiative, which provides capital for the acquisition and development of affordable housing in high impact locations throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as Guest Lecturer.

Mr. Sandler is a shareholder of Bernstein Management Corporation and its investment affiliates. Mr. Sandler’s prior work experience included G/A Partners, where he performed market feasibility studies for diverse real estate projects throughout the United States, and Arthur Anderson & Co. in their audit division. Mr. Sandler has served as a director on the board of the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School and is a past treasurer and trustee for Beth Sholom Congregation. Mr. Sandler grew up in South Africa. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Bachelor of Accounting degree, and his Chartered Accountant designation before immigrating to the United States to study for his M.B.A. degree at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Austin Herndon joined Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC) in June 2001 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Commercial Leasing, overseeing the leasing strategy for approximately 3.5 million square feet of office, medical, flex and industrial properties located throughout the metropolitan Washington DC region. He additionally serves on the Bernstein Management Corporation Investment committee. Prior to joining BMC, Mr. Herndon worked on the institutional sales desk at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group in Arlington, Virginia. He currently Chairs the President’s Council of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington. Mr. Herndon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

John Moore joined Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC) in 2020 and serves as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Property Management for the company. Mr. Moore supervises all management and operations for approximately 3.5 million square feet of office, industrial and R&D buildings in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Mr. Moore began his career in 1993 with Forest City Enterprises where he directed strategy and operations for a portfolio of commercial and retail properties. Prior to joining BMC, he spearheaded the redevelopment of Ballston Quarter in Arlington, Virginia. John previously served on the Board of Directors for the Ballston Business Improvement District as well as on the Board of Directors for The Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Economic Development Commission, and Marymount University Alumni Advisory Board. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Marymount University where he was admitted to membership in Delta Epsilon Sigma and Delta Mu Delta national honor societies. He is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds the Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation.

In this role, he directs the operational strategy for over 5,000 multifamily units throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan region, with a focus on maximizing the performance and value of the real estate assets. Prior to joining Bernstein, Mr. Larson enjoyed a 10-year tenure with Horning Brothers, most recently serving as Vice President of Property Management, following 10 years working as a Regional Property Manager for leading multifamily management and development firms including Greystar, Waterton Residential, Kettler, and AvalonBay. Mr. Larson served as 2022 President of the Board of Directors for the Washington DC chapter of the Property Management Association (PMA). Mr. Larson holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
