Bernstein Management Corporation partnered with WhyHotel, a hospitality platform and operator that provides a flexible living experience – where guests or residents can stay for “3 days or 3 years” in a fully furnished and mixed-use building that combines the best of home and hospitality. Through this partnership, 2500 Penn, Operated by WhyHotel was repositioned from a former hotel into a comingled space for multifamily, hotel, and gathering space.
WhyHotel operates temporary pop-up hotels out of newly built residential apartment buildings as they complete their lease-up phase. The company’s newest arm, Hospitality Living, creates flexible developments, where guests can stay in a WhyHotel owned and operated property. Hospitality Living offers curated spaces in the best neighborhoods with many of the perks of a hotel.
2500 Penn, Operated by WhyHotel, is located in DC’s West End at 2500 Pennsylvania Avenue NW between Foggy Bottom and Georgetown. With the redesign of this hotel, 2500 Penn, Operated by WhyHotel, will also be home to a new wine garden and restaurant concept on the first-floor retail space, including the back patio and sidewalk café expected to open late Summer 2021.
