The Bernstein Management Corporation (BMC) Community Outreach committee joined forces on Wednesday, August 9 for its second annual teachers’ lounge renovation at Hyde-Addison Elementary School in Washington D.C. Located at 3219 O Street NW, Hyde-Addison provides Pre-K through fifth grade education to children from across D.C.’s eight wards.
With design guidance from BMC’s own Design Project Manager, the Community Outreach committee helped prepare the tired teachers’ lounge for a new school year with improvements including fresh paint, cabinets, new furniture, small appliances and décor. Hyde-Addison faculty received the new and improved lounge with much excitement and even a few tears of gratitude.
Community contributions for this project included new paint and a decorative wall decal from full service printing and graphics firm CSI, snacks, soda and feminine products courtesy of the Georgetown / Glover Park Safeway, as well as snacks and drinks courtesy of Wegmans.
