BMC Affiliate takes ownership stake in Columbia, Maryland portfolio

An investment affiliate of Bernstein Management acquired a majority ownership interest in a portfolio of commercial properties through the purchase of a mezzanine loan. The properties comprise 300,000 square feet in seven Class B office and flex buildings built between 1985 and 1999. The portfolio was 65% leased at the time of the acquisition and well located within the greater Columbia, Maryland submarket in close proximity to Fort Meade and BWI Airport. Bernstein established a management office in Columbia to handle the management responsibilities at these buildings.
